Curative Heath Care Programme

Under guidance and control of the Dept. of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of West Bengal the Sanstha’s Mobile Health Programme has been taken up as a challenge to combat the alarming situation in health spheres in a part of North 24- Parganas.

The villages falling within four blocks of North 24 Parganas viz. Hingalganj, Hasnabad, Sandeshkhali – I & Sandeshkhali – II have been brought under this programme for intensive activities. With the help of a Medical Launch- duly equipped with necessary appliances for pathological tests and strengthened by a contingent of medical staff including doctors, technicians, helper- Mobile Health Care Services have been relentlessly rendering to thousands of patients since 1995-96. Furthermore general clinics, awareness camps, special medical camps, eye refraction, free eye operation camps have been held in the remote villages with a view to extend the periphery of the outreach of the services among the masses at large. In the year 2012-13 the programme has been discontinued by the Govt. It is to be noted that upto 31-03-2012 more than 5.50 lakh patients have been treated in the clinics of the sanstha under this programme.

1.   100% Institutional Child Delivery Centre (ICDC) :

National Rural Health Mission in recognition of our prolonged service in health sector, have assigned on us the onorous responsibility to set up four delivery centers at villages Rupamari, Dulduli, Jogeshganj & Kalitala within Hingalganj Block of North 24 Parganas district. The brisk task though challenging for the organization. It has shouldered the responsibility on the strength of the people support and all-out cooperation of the Health Department, Govt. of West Bengal.

2.    Operating Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) :

Sarvik Vivekananda Gram Seva Sanstha conducted (under guidance of National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), Govt. of West Bengal and Dept. of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of West Bengal)a health care service holding camps at remote villages at Gopiballavpur – I Block, Paschim Medinipur; Arsha & Balarampur Blocks of Purulia district; Sarenga of Bankura & Sadar Block of Jalpaiguri District.

The service programme is named as OPERATING MOBILE MEDICAL UNIT (CAMPS). This type of service has been organised for the really backward and poor people based areas of West Bengal, mainly in Jangalmahal areas. Under this programme not only the patients of the remote villages are attended by qualified doctor, the pathological tests including x-ray, as the case may be are done at the centers.
